NOTE: Huber and Tschida ancestors settled in St. Paul, Minnesota in the 1890's. They resided in the Frogtown and Rice St. areas of St. Paul. Family churches were St. Agnes and later, St. Bernard's. To my knowledge, there were 3 Tschida families living within blocks of each other in St. Paul, MN at the 1890's, but unrelated. I know of no one other than myself researching this Tschida branch. Elms and Alquist ancestors settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I will gladly accept verifiable information from all.

"A PRECIOUS MOMENT"

This is the family of Michael and Anna Huber, my great-grandparents. The woman in the back is the only daughter, Barbara Ann Huber. Barbara had ten brothers. She was pretty tough to track down. Barbara died in 1919 during childbirth of her third child, a lovely little girl named Barbara Anna Leih. It's a long story how I found them, but I met Barbara Anna for the first time when she came to our home the summer of 1999 to celebrate our 25th. Wedding Anniversary. It was a pleasure meeting her.  Barbara and my Dad talked for hours that day. They even enjoyed a few beers together. They haven't seen each other in 63 years.

A couple years ago, my Aunt Louise Szczech gave me the address of my Godmother Maryann Benson. I didn't know her, so I wrote a letter. She sent me a bunch of photos from around 1956. Us kids playing in a wagon, this baby photo of me, us kids playing under a tree, my Dad washing his car down at 909 Park St. in St. Paul, MN. These are pictures my parents never had. Because of the contributions from people like Maryann and others, we can learn more of our family history.
